Styles, from sea to heaven
During our stay at the Intercontinental in Danang, Vietnam, we booked a classic with ocean view room which was absolutely fabulous. The room was huge and came with a very glamorous bathroom and a massive balcony that offered spectacular views across the bay and the South China Sea. The resort itself is stunning, stylist, set on a cliffside with breathtaking views over the sea. The architecture is amazing and the scent of lemongrass adds to the exotic vibe of the place. The staff are extremely helpful and the hospitality is exquisite. Check in & Check out was done swiftly by Nhi & Vy. We really enjoy our conversation with these two beautiful and personable staff. Our butler service was Huy/Jasper - he has such a pleasant smile and very personable. The location of the resort is picture perfect, situated between the sea and the mountains. The views are simply magnificent, and the private beach is a sight to behold. The hotel is beautifully designed and well-maintained despite being around for 10 years. The Citron restaurant offers mainly Vietnamese dishes, which are all exceptional. The breakfast spread is also amazing. The Long Bar is another must-visit spot, with fantastic cocktails and a beautiful beach. You have to request for Ly our server. She was delightfully humorous with personality. We really enjoy our conversation with her. The staff at the resort are truly exceptional, and they go above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. From the f&b director Venkat Undaram, F&B manager Mr. Oliver, F&B Manager Hai Vu to the servers at Citron and the assistant manager at Barefoot restaurant Hiện Nguyên, the service is attentive, genuine and relaxing. The Vietnamese traditional quartet was a great addition to the ambiance of Hoi An. The food spread was incredible. It has an abundant of choices and both Western and Eastern cuisine. The Asian/Vietnamese was truly delicious. We were also impressed by the attentiveness and enthusiasm of staff members like Suong Che, Anh Lương, and Suong Dang, Hoa Nguyen, Toan Le, who made our dining experiences truly memorable. Pool side service Xuan was very attentive and help find a great spot also help us with some beautiful photos. Overall, this resort is definitely one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in, and we cannot wait to go back. The commitment of the Intercontinental Danang to doing more than what is asked while executing at the highest level truly sets it apart. I want to highlight the exceptional service provided by Suong Dang, who went above and beyond to ensure that we had a memorable dining experience. Suong was very accommodating and demonstrated a deep understanding of our preferences. She even served us again outdoors at HoiAn by the beach. Her professionalism, genuine sincerity, and hospitality were the epitome of excellence. Suong is truly an amazing young lady, and we appreciate her for making our stay at the Intercontinental Danang even more special. I want to further emphasize the exceptional service provided by Hoa Nguyen, who went above and beyond to make our dining experience unforgettable. Hoa not only ensured that our breakfast was perfect, but also took the time to take photos of us while we were perched over the sea in a private pod. His attentiveness and enthusiasm to make our experience memorable truly impressed us. We appreciated his willingness to go the extra mile to ensure that our stay at the Intercontinental Danang was nothing short of exceptional. Thank you, Hoa Nguyen, for your outstanding service! I want to further highlight the exceptional culinary skills of Anh Luong, who made the most delicious Vietnamese crepe we've ever had. We've tried crepes in Hanoi and in other hotels during our travels from north yo South Vietnam, but Anh's version was far superior. Her cooking was truly authentic and remained true to our Vietnamese heritage. We were impressed by her attention to detail, dedication to quality, and passion for her craft. Anh's culinary skills were definitely one of the highlights of our stay at the Intercontinental Danang, and we appreciate her for making our dining experience truly memorable. Thank you, Anh Luong, for your outstanding culinary skills. We can tell that she is very proud of what she does. I would like to highlight the exceptional culinary skills of Chef Kha, the pastry chef at the Intercontinental Danang, who created some of the most memorable pastries we've ever tasted. From coconut banana pastries to macaroons, every pastry that Chef Kha made was simply delicious. His attention to detail and dedication to using local ingredients really shone through in his creations. We were impressed by the unique blend of Vietnamese and French flavors in his pastries, and they were truly unforgettable. Chef Kha's culinary skills were definitely one of the highlights of our stay at the Intercontinental Danang, and we appreciate him for making our dining experience truly exceptional. Thank you, Chef Kha, for your outstanding culinary skills! I would like to highlight Chef Hung, who was in charge of creating Banh Mi from Hoi An, the Vietnamese baguette. Chef Hung's culinary skills were truly exceptional and he created some of the best Banh Mi that we've ever tasted. His attention to detail and dedication to using fresh, local ingredients really shone through in his creations. I would like to highlight Chef Tien, the head of the Citron hot food section, who created an exceptional dish called Cao Lau, a native dish of Hoi An. Chef Tien's culinary skills were truly impressive, and he created one of the best versions of Cao Lau that we've ever tasted. His attention to detail and dedication to using fresh, local ingredients really shone through in his creation. We appreciated his passion for preserving the authenticity of the dish and presenting it in a way that truly honored its Vietnamese heritage. Chef Tien's culinary skills were definitely one of the highlights of our stay at the Intercontinental Danang, and we appreciate him for making our dining experience truly exceptional. Thank you, Chef Tien, for your outstanding culinary skills. I would like to highlight Như Vo who was in charge of creating the delicious Pho soup that we enjoyed at Citron restaurant. Như Vo culinary skills were truly impressive, and she created one of the best versions of Pho that we've ever tasted. Her attention to detail and dedication to using fresh, local ingredients really shone through in her creation. I would like to highlight Hiện Nguyên, the assistant manager at Barefoot restaurant, who went above and beyond to help create a Cobb Salad for my husband, even though it was not on the menu. My husband was craving the salad and Hiện Nguyên was so nice and accommodating to help make it happen. Her attention to detail and dedication to providing exceptional service really impressed us. We appreciated her kindness and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure that our dining experience was exceptional. Hiện Nguyên's outstanding service was definitely one of the highlights of our stay at the Intercontinental Danang, and we appreciate her for making our dining experience truly memorable. Thank you, Hiện Nguyên, for your exceptional service! On a beautiful evening the beach was transform into a small Hoi An neighborhood. The air was filled was the most beautiful aroma of grilled pork, fish, squid, lamb and beef. All traditional Hoi An cuisine. We left with a content full stomach and the taste still remain vivid in my head as I sit and write this review. In Summary this amazing hotel/resort was not created by 1 but a team of passionate people that really love what they do and celebrated our heritage and culture for us to share and enjoy. Thank You for a wonderful vacation. We will be back.
